Description

1 Used Pro-Engineering 5’ x 45’ Stainless Steel Tunnel Pasteurizer, Model #: 90045517 Manufactured in 2019, pasteurizer is sized to process 200 - 12 oz bottles or cans per minute for fine filtered beverages requiring pasteurization between 6 to 15 PU’s.

OEM Specifications

Pumps, Plumbing & Level Monitoring: Comes with 9 x 3 HP centrifugal pumps, stainless steel piping and automatic level monitoring, continuous flow thru conveyor, fully removable tunnel top-side covers for open access, which are interchangeable and can be set in place.

Water Level Control: The pasteurizer sump has a level control system to maintain proper water level in the sumps. The machine has nine sump zones. There are fill level controls on each zone. To adjust the level, move the control to the desired level on the tube. When the water level is below this height, the control will open a valve to add water to the sump zone. Make sure that the overflow pipe is set at a higher elevation than the fill control to avoid extra water loss.

Drain System with valves: To drain the pasteurizer sump, open the 2” manual valves on the bottom of the machine, at each of the (9) zones. There is also a manual valve on the 4” PVC balance pipe that can be opened to drain the balance pipe as connected zones. After all water is drained from the machine, close the valves.

Sump Screens: The pipe inlets in the sump for each pump are enclosed by a square screen. These screens need to be cleaned periodically to avoid limiting the water flow to the pumps. These screens must be in place to prevent debris from entering and potentially damaging the pumps. When cleaning the screens avoid debris from entering the pipes.

Heaters & Temperature Monitoring: The pasteurizer heating system consists of shell and tube heat exchangers using low pressure (max 15 psi) steam as the energy source. The provided steam control valves regulate the flow of steam to the shell and tube heat exchanger based on spray water temperature demand.

Main Transport System: The pasteurizer transport system consists of the pasteurizer’s thru conveyor. Infeed, and discharge cross-conveyors deliver product containers to, and discharge product containers from the pasteurizer. The conveying system utilizes Intralox plastic modular belting.

Drive Gearboxes:  Maintenance free gearboxes for the thru-conveyor, and cross conveyor drives are shaft-mounted gearmotors.

Cross Conveyor and Fingerplate Adjustment: The cross conveyor and fingerplate rail bolt together and attach to the pasteurizer as a unit. The cross conveyor must be properly aligned to the fingerplates. To adjust the cross conveyors to the fingerplates, first loosen (but do not remove) 5 bolts from the fingerplate support structure. The conveyors can be raised or lowered in the bolt slots. The conveyors should be adjusted to allow a smooth product transfer from the belt to the fingerplates. After the conveyor is adjusted to the desired position, re-tighten the 5 bolts. To adjust the angle of the finger plates, thread the adjustment screws in or out as needed. The fingerplate adjustment screws are located under the fingerplates. With the cross conveyor properly adjusted the assembly can be attached and adjusted to the pasteurizer. Loosen the four bolts attaching the fingerplate rail to the pasteurizer and adjust the elevation as needed. The conveyor feet may require adjustment to allow for proper elevation and leveling.

Steam: The pasteurizer heated spray system requires low pressure (< 15 psi) steam supplied to the pasteurizer.

Condensate Return Line: The pasteurizer includes a steam trap at each of the heat exchanger locations with a 1” NPT connection to interface with the plant provided condensate return line.  Water Supply: Water supply to the pasteurizer should be connected via the ¾” NPT solenoid valves located at each zone sump tank along the main pasteurizer tunnel. The pasteurizer design provides for ¾” NPT outlets for each zone on each side of the pasteurizer. The side that is not used will have the holes plugged and they can be utilized by the production facility as a chemical injection port if an automatic chemical injection system is to be provided by the facility.

Electrics: 3/60/480 Volts.
